the wine festival runs from 11 am till about 10 30 pm tonight…
give or take a few hours 😉
lots of food to sample, various wines from different venues, ice cream, ribs and steak and all sorts of yummy things here
also loads of gift shops, and unique art works and home made crafts, jams and foods usually are at this event too.
montebello park is along lake st and ontario st, you can park several blocks away and walk up (head towards welland ave and ontario st going north to look for 2 hour free parking or more)
just walk up ontario street or york st and it will bring you to lake st heading east to montebello park.
if you want to sit down and have a meal head south up ontario street or york st, it will take you to queen st, king st, james st, the market place (fresh produce, flowers, meats, desserts sold here on king st near james st) or head up to st paul street.
many cultural restaurants and dishes for italians, india, thailand, chinese, vietnamese, as well as gift, magazines (international ones sold on james street), flowers, pizza pizza, wings and snack shops, couture, designer shops and more.. check it out, everything is close by so you can walk there from montebello park in less than 10 minutes.
looking for banks?
go up queen street or ontario street from lake st heading south (south west side of montebello park) and you will find CIBC (king st/queen st), TD CAnada Trust (king st/queen st), Royal Bank (king st/ queen st), Scotia Bank (on st paul st and james st?), and bank of montreal (king st)

E will be towards welland ave, carlton st, QEW Niagara at Lake St or Ontario ST (turn right heading south towards montebello park and come join in the festivities today)
W is towards South Pelham, St paul st W, Fourth Ave, (meets at ontario st and welland ave)
more than 2 hour parking available past welland ave, fourth ave, up ontario st check out the streets up to carlton st.
it’s a 10 minute walk from there to the park, if you come up york street, turn right on lake street and go one block the park is there on your right

if you wanna see the welland ship canal then drive up welland ave (heading east) turn right onto bunting rd (walmart, canadian tire, gas stations, several fast food restaurants here) then turn left on queenston st and make a right at the lights just before the homer bridge which goes OVER the canal onto the parkway
drive up 5 minutes and our LOCK 3 museum will be on your left
you can check out the museum it’s FREE! (great family fun)
have an ice cream and go stand out on the viewing platform that looks down INTO the lock and watch a huge ship get lifted up by WATER 😉
